Hi I am Laura, I am a relatively new goat keeper in the scheme of things, starting my herd of Anglo Nubians in 2022 which has rapidly expanded to include British Saanens.
My goat journey started as a young child when I could be found hanging out at goat shed of the village goat lady and since then I have always wanted my own herd.
When not in the goat shed I can be found either looking after the rest of my menagerie on the smallholding or teaching students Design Technology and Engineering in secondary schools.
I hope to bring some fun and stability to the NDGC finding ways to incorporate goats into every event we hold

Hello, I’m Scott Harding-Lister, the current Secretary of the club. By profession, I am a solicitor, but outside of work, I find great enjoyment in the calm and peaceful atmosphere of my herd of goats.
I’ve only been keeping goats for the past few years, but my journey began when I met Sally (our President), who introduced me to the world of goat keeping. With her guidance, I’ve built a small herd of Royal Golden Guernseys, along with a couple of Saanens.
Golden Guernseys are the perfect breed for me – they’re calm, friendly, easy to care for, and, best of all, they don’t try to escape!
As Club Secretary, I support the committee by handling membership enquiries, organising meetings, and maintaining the club’s records and paperwork.
If you’re thinking about owning or showing goats, I encourage you to get involved! The club is a fantastic community with a wealth of experience and expertise, and there is always someone willing to offer help and support. Whether you’re completely new to goat keeping or an experienced breeder, our club is a welcoming space where you can learn, share experiences, and make lasting friendships.

Treasurer
As a returning committee member I am pleased to be surrounded once again by enthusiasm of like minded colleagues for the way forward.
Goats and all things goat related are my passion, although I do have a husband, four children and nine grandchildren that also feature in there.
My current breeds of choice are Golden Guernsey, British Saanan and English, although an Anglo Nubian has snuck in there too somehow.
My goats have a great ability to escape over fences but unless it’s mating season I never worry as they are looking for human company and don’t wander off.
I also want to show as part of the harness goat society displaying my own cart led by a hopefully cooperative goat.
I love goat shows, an excellent way to introduce spectators to goats and goat keeping. Goat showcasing too as part of a display is also very important and educational activities. I take part in milk recording as part of this hobby.
I feel all kids have a place in life and if they are not needed for breeding or showing they can find homes with those who’s passion is the pet goat or perhaps as part of a care farm.

My name is Creena Hancock & it’s safe to say that I am completely devoted to goats.
My love of goats started way back in the eighties when I was growing up on the family farm in Kent, my family was forever plagued with escaping goats & general goat chaos.
Moving forward to more recent times, my husband & I moved to Suffolk in 2018 with our children, I established The Cocoa Herd of pedigree Anglo Nubians in 2019. My core values with goats is to breed the best I possibly can & maintain the high standards set by breeders before me. My favourite time of year is kidding where I end up spending more time in the goat house than I do the human one.
