What a truly lovely day we had at Stody on the 8th of May! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this would be an event to remember. The perfect weather, a picturesque setting, and an atmosphere filled with games, chatter, and laughter truly made it a day to cherish.
A big thank you to Hazel for her excellent coordination. Without her dedication, the day wouldn’t have been the same. We’re also grateful to those who brought their own games or offered assistance throughout the day. The all-time favourite Splat the Rat was back again, adding fun and excitement, but all the stalls were bustling with activity, providing something for everyone to enjoy. As for me, I must admit I had a wonderful time simply sitting back and soaking in the experience—doing very little! But a massive thank you to everyone who made it so enjoyable.
The beauty of Stody’s surroundings was also in full bloom. The azaleas and rhododendrons were at their peak, filling the air with a delightful fragrance that added to the charm of the day. Zoe brought along her rescue donkeys, and the entrance was home to a mini dog show, where everyone got to admire some truly talented pups. In addition, there were pygmy goats, sheep, and poultry on display, creating a lovely rural atmosphere. The event was a true showcase of north Norfolk at its finest.
If you didn’t manage to visit the water gardens during your time there, make sure to take a stroll next time. The newly added rustic table and benches, crafted by Richard, are a stunning feature, perfectly complementing the serene beauty of the gardens themselves.
While none of the photos truly capture the essence of the brilliant day we all had, we’ve included a selection to offer a glimpse into what made the day so special.
Thank you to everyone who came, contributed, and made it a day to remember!
